Metro Pacific Health Corporation (“MPH”), the Philippines’ first and largest private hospital network, announced today its investment in a majority shareholding in Metro Antipolo Hospital and Medical Center, Inc. (“MAHMC”), marking its 28th hospital investment in its rapidly growing nationwide chain.

Conceptualized in 2010 by an enterprising group of 59 respected physicians and professionals, MAHMC was established with the goal of creating a training hospital that will not only cater to the healthcare needs in the area but will also foster the development of specialized physicians. Since opening its doors in 2016, this 109-bed Level 2 hospital along Marcos Highway, Antipolo City, has now grown to be one of the largest hospitals with a strong track record in Rizal province. While primarily servicing the “Lower Antipolo” market, its location allows MAHMC to serve patients from adjacent NCR cities Marikina and Pasig, and other municipalities of Rizal such as Cainta, San Mateo, Binangonan and Taytay.
“We are confident that MAHMC, under the leadership and management of MPH, is poised to achieve even greater things beyond medical expertise.” Outgoing President Dr. Nelson Bambalan said.
“With MAHMC becoming our 17th provincial hospital, we are reaffirming our commitment to enhancing access to high-quality healthcare services to communities beyond Metro Manila”, said MPH President Augie Palisoc Jr.
MPH’s transformation plan for MAHMC includes a new Urgent Care Center which will expand out-patient services and introduce the market to a better patient experience previously only enjoyed in premium Metro Manila hospitals. Additionally, MPH is committed to broadening the hospital’s medical services, with the upgrade of medical equipment and the opening of its new cardiac catheterization laboratory, the first private facility of its kind in Rizal province.
This investment demonstrates the commitment of Metro Pacific Health to improve the delivery of quality and affordable healthcare throughout the nation by not only improving the hospitals in our network, but also continuously growing our nationwide portfolio of healthcare facilities, a foray that started in 2007 with its maiden investment in Makati Medical Center. Other premier hospitals in the portfolio include Asian Hospital and Medical Center, Cardinal Santos Medical Center, Davao Doctors Hospital, and Riverside Medical Center in Bacolod.
